About Us
Venture Kidz Children's Center offers families
State Certified Childcare and Preschool program
for children 24 months to 6 years old.
Your child's preschool years are a time of great growth and
development. Through their natural curiosity and desire to
learn, they gain language, social, and cognitive skills
which are vital to their future education. They have endless
questions and are learning to manipulate their environment.
These formative years should be filled with many
opportunities for them to explore the world around them. The
staff at VentureKidz Children's Center are committed to helping your child grow
and learn during this most important time in their life.
Our center offers many benefits that
can enhance your child's growth. Some of these include a
small mixed age group, less exposure to illness, a nurturing
family environment, and the same providers interacting with
your child each day. We have completed
extensive interviews and inspections done by the State of
Oregon Child Care Division and the County Health Department.
Parents can be assured that at VentureKidz Children's Center, their child will be
cared for in a safe and nurturing environment.

VALUES TEACHING
We incorporate Christian Family values
including honor and respect in able to teach
children the way in which they should conduct
themselves. In this age of disrespect, it is
important that families change the negative
course of our times by showing respect for
those who are in authority roles including family
members and parents. We also incorporate
Christian holidays in our program by
celebrating Christ’s birth, reading Bible stories,
singing Sunday School songs, promoting
sibling type relationships and many other ways.
We also include some holidays from other
countries and cultures. This is not the primary
focus, only part of the children’s care. Your
help is needed in this area as we are faced
with many challenges in today’s world.
BEHAVIOR
“Normal” is a term that refers to a broad
range of behaviors. Some behaviors, such as
biting in toddlers is considered normal until
severity and frequency are quantified.
Similarly, attention span, aggression, letter
reversals, language development, oppositional
behavior and toilet training may indicate either
a developmental stage or a need for further
study. If your child exhibits behavior that is out
of the norm, we will make very effort to
research the phenomenon, make observations
and notes, and share with you what we have
discovered. We may make recommendations
as to a course of action that will benefit your
child. All actions are made with the best
interests of your child in mind.
DISCIPLINE POLICY
In the process of growing up and learning
there is always a margin for error. When we
are young, that margin is very wide. We as
parents and adults must remember that
children are supposed to make errors. We
provide correction; thus learning is taking
place. We provide positive guidance,
redirection, and the setting of clear-cut limits.
Our goal is to help the child develop self-
control, self-esteem and respect for others.
Verbal discussions of error often achieve
success. On occasion, however, defiance
comes into play. We must deal with defiance
with control and in a timely, just manner. A
“quiet time”, “time out” or “thinking moment” is
a time where a child may reflect upon their
error for a brief moment. This also separates
them from the group if needed
